I'm not sure if something is down on the system or I'm just not lucky today...but this happened yesterday as well and I can't figure it out.

Another one of our assignments was to post our pictures. I had two problems, first my map could not locate the UWM Island and so I couldn't look at the communciations building and I couldsn't get the screen shot in the UWM sim. I did take a screen shot when I was in some dark place but I don't know how to get that to the blog spot.

Assignments

We were given a couple of assignments to do once we got into Second Life. I was up until 11:30PM last night trying to create an avatar and once I finally got it created I couldn't log on so I had to create another one and her name was tiffany2Sideshow. I also tried to send Juice Gyoza a friendship offer but I don't know if it was received. Hopefully my group members have better luck than I did. There are some real freaks in Second Life and the fact that they follow you as soon as you enter a new region and they fly and can just start talking to you is really creepy.

Second Life Stress

It's stressful enough in my first life not to maention all the stress in the second life. I was stuck, I have flown into mountains, I have drowned in lakes, I have been invited to get bit by a vampire and I have been surrounded by a whole bunch of weird looking freaks with weird voices coming out of my computer speakers. I surely wish this wasn't part of our assingment because its actually kind of creepy and I am really afraid that my computer is going to crash. This program totally takes over your computer and I can't afford to lose my computers to any weird viruses that might transport into my first life.

Frustrated Avatar

I am so incredibly frustrated with this program right now. I have some serious homeowrk to do and yet I have spent the last 30 minutes trying to select different names for my Avatar and none of them work. They keep telling me to select different name and it keeps sending me throught the enitre registration process over and over. I also don't feel confortable with having to submit my personal information on this program because I am not a big fan or virtual realitya dn they very fact that they request my real name-first and last and my date of birth makes me feel rather uneasy. Well, I was going to teleport through second life world but this is soo frustrating and I have so much other homwork and its already 10:20 PM that I can't keep doing this.
